I have went through more backpacks than I care to count, but this bag with out a doubt is the best one I have ever had. As a college student I carry around a lot of books, my computer, my work stuff, and anything else I feel like I may need. This has been the first bag to be able to carry all of this stuff and on top of that, I still have extra room. My shoulders and back do not hurt anymore after I have bought this bag either. Its worth every penny.
Perfect for school and travel September 2, 2009

I purchased this backpack for a six week trip to Europe and used it exclusively for all my weekend trips. The shoulder straps and back padding are very comfortable, and the pocket design is efficient and very spacious. One day I carried four days' worth of clothing and travel necessities for ten hours along the Italian coast with no neck or back pain. The Camelbak bladder pocket, while I didn't use it much, was a nice feature, and the small interior pocket accessible from the same zipper was perfect for my money, passport, and other valuables.
Now that I'm back, it has been equally useful for hauling textbooks and my laptop around campus. The only slight downside is that there isn't a padded pocket specifically for laptops, but I just stick mine in a $15 neoprene sleeve and it works great.
I highly recommend this pack for anything from daily school use to day hikes to weekend backpacking.

I searched for a while to find a back pack that was as versatile as possible, and this is where I ended up. There is enough reviews to explain why, but I have to say I am extremely satisfied with this product and would highly recommend it as the best all-around backpack on the market for the money.

This is a great backpack. It has plenty of pockets for a wide variety of contents of different shapes and sizes. Many smaller inside pockets for organizing small items. I use it for work and play, since I got tired of swapping stuff like cell phones, glasses, wallet, etc. back and forth from my work bag. It carries a large laptop, papers, folders, etc. just fine, and works even better for day-hike supplies, like cameras, water bottles, snacks for the kids, umbrella, clotheres, etc. I like the fact that I now have one bag for all my needs (only thing I remove is work stuff, and voila, ready to go on an adventure). I like the fact that the pack is a bit longer rather than deeper - this makes weight distribution great and does not feel like it is pulling me backwards. I'm in great shape, so a heavy load on my back is no problem, but I do have three slipped discs in my neck, and this is much more comfortable to wear across both shoulders than my traditional work bag was on one shoulder - very well balanced! The gel shoulders straps are very comfortable and the pack does not sweat on my back. I opted for this over the other model that features a padded laptop pocket - I figured the padding just took up space and added bulk, but this might be important to die-hard laptop users. No wasted space in this backpack. Overall, this blows away any backpack I have every owned, for sure. Highly recommend if you are looking for a versatile backpack with lots of compartments and that is comfortable to wear all day while walking around.

I bought this product as a daypack and carry-on bag for a three-week trip to Japan and China, which I took in Sept. 2008. (For those not paying attention, it's now almost May 2009 and I still love this bag.) It was perfect!
I looked at so many different backpacks trying to find just the right one. I had bought two and returned them before I found this one. Plenty of pockets and very comfortable. When I was using it as a carry-on, I was packing it to 35 pounds and didn't feel uncomfortable walking through the airport with it. It fit perfectly into the overhead bins and I was able to easily get to my stuff. I carried food, change of clothes, souvenirs, everything (allowed by the airlines of course) and it worked beautifully. I liked it so much, I'm back to buy another one for my girlfriend. I highly recommend this bag.
